Jatira is a wild edible commonly found in Meghalaya.
The leaves and stems of the water celery are a good source of protein with vitamins A, B & C, iron, calcium, phosphorus and potassium. Also, the cooked white roots are a source of carbohydrates.

Diced onions
Oil
Preparation:
Chop the jatira and mix it with the diced onions.
Add salt to taste and a little oil for flavour.
