Landlessness: A ticking time bomb

On the 22nd of April 2022, the Career Guidance and Counseling Committee, Sohra Government College, organized a one day workshop themed “Indigenous Peoples’ Food Systems – A game changing solution in the context of climate change''.  The College invited NESFAS and Charlotte Milbank, a PhD scholar from University of Cambridge, to take part in the program.

Seeds of today for fruits of tomorrow

On the 21st of April, 2022, four communities, namely Sasatgre, Mandalgre, Rongchadenggre and Masudigre came together for a seed exchange at Daribokgre, East Garo Hills, one of the model villages of NESFAS in Garo Hills. The programme started off with an introductory session in the village community hall, where seeds from the repository known as Community Seed Bank (CSB) were displayed.

Sohra Government College, Sohra, in collaboration with NESFAS, Shillong, organised a one-day international workshop on Career Guidance and Counseling on April 22, 2022, on the theme "Indigenous Peoples’ Food Systems- A game changing solution in the context of climate change''. Charlotte Milbank, Research Scholar, University of Cambridge, UK, was the keynote speaker of this session.
